Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes the processing of personal data when using the vocals-extractor-pro.com website and the Vocals-Extractor-Pro Windows software.

Last updated: October 8, 2026

1. Controller and contact

The controller responsible for Vocals-Extractor-Pro and this website is:

Matthias Wente
Email: matthiaswente@googlemail.com

This address may also be used for privacy requests concerning the website, license management and the software.

2. Website

Technically required server data

When a website is accessed, connection data is technically transmitted to the web server. This may include the IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser/operating-system information and referrer. Such data may be processed in server logs to provide the website and to maintain stability and security.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional website).

No analytics or advertising trackers

The current website does not embed proprietary analytics, profiling or advertising tracking scripts. No user account is required merely to use the product website.

Hardware suitability check

The hardware suitability check offered on the website runs in the browser. It may evaluate browser-provided information such as platform, logical processor count, rounded memory information and graphics renderer. This evaluation is performed locally in the browser; the website does not send these detected hardware values to an analytics or tracking service.

3. Update and license communication of the Windows software

Vocals-Extractor-Pro connects via HTTPS to the Vocals-Extractor-Pro update and licensing services when the program starts and when an update check is started manually. This is used to check for software updates, manage active installations and validate licenses.

Data from each installation

Additional data when a license is active

This processing is required to provide and validate licenses, assign installations, limit misuse and deliver application updates. Where processing is necessary to perform a license agreement, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Security and abuse-prevention measures are additionally based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Audio and project files

Audio, project, stem, MIDI or Voice-DNA files and their contents are not transmitted to the license or update server as part of update and license communication.

Audio and MIDI processing itself takes place on the user's Windows system unless a specific application function explicitly states otherwise.

5. Retention and deletion

6. Microsoft Store

If Vocals-Extractor-Pro is obtained through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft independently processes data required for the Store account, download, installation, device management and, where applicable, Store billing. Microsoft's privacy terms apply to that processing. Vocals-Extractor-Pro does not automatically obtain access to the user's personal Microsoft account merely because the software is distributed through the Store.

7. Recipients and processors

Personal data is disclosed to service providers only where necessary for hosting, technical delivery, license management, support or compliance with legal obligations. Service providers may process data only within the applicable contractual and legal requirements.

8. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons arising from your particular situation.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

Privacy requests may be sent to matthiaswente@googlemail.com.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

This policy may be updated when features, processing activities or legal requirements change. The current version will be published at this URL.
